Learning Together: Yeshurun Lessons and Lectures

From Yeshurun's earliest days, its halls resounded with lively discussions between Rav Kook and leading "secular" Israelis on the issues of reviving Torah observance in the resurrected State. His sparring partners included poet Chaim Nachman Bialik, lawyer Mordechai Eliash (who helped found Yeshurun), and other prominent thinkers in the Yishuv who valued Jewish identity.

Over the decades, Yeshurun has continued to provide a meeting ground for leading lights in modern orthodox and modern Israeli society. The learning experiences are stimulating, profitable and thoroughly enjoyable - as evidenced by the consistently high attendance at all Yeshurun-sponsored Shiurim.

Learning activities are available in both English and Hebrew. Most of the Shiurim take place in the Recently refurbished Berman Beit Midrash, housed In the Alexander Elyash Hall, a comfortable and user-friendly environment that doubles as a place of prayer.

Yeshurun is particularly proud of its Kollel program, which has an international reputation as one of the most successful in Jerusalem. Another achievement is the daily Shiur, between Mincha and Arrvit, which has been given continuously for the past 53 years.by Rabbi Yaacov Katz "Kollel Chaim V”Yisrael Al Yedei Mishpachat Wolf.
